Senior Investment Specialist
Editor, Compelling Investments Quantified
Jake Weber began his career in investment research by working with Casey Research as an equity analyst focused in the precious metal sector for the BIG GOLD newsletter.
A year later, in 2008, Jake was named the lead investment analyst for The Casey Report, a macro-economic orientated research service dealing with a wide array of investment sectors—from international equities to domestic fixed-income… and everything in between.
When Casey decided to launch the Casey Trend Trader, a commodity and currency options trading advisory service, Jake was appointed as the senior editor and investment strategist. In 2011, Jake decided to extend his experience and accepted a position as a fixed-income trader with Chopper Trading, a leading technology-based trading shop based in Chicago.
While at Chopper Trading, Jake used proprietary technology to successfully implement high-frequency arbitrage trading strategies, spreading US Treasury and exchange-listed Treasury derivative products.
After one too many Chicago winters, Jake decided to set up shop in Denver, Colorado where he now enjoys the ski slopes when the weather gets cold.
Jake graduated cum laude (2007) from Loyola University, New Orleans with a BA in Business Administration with an emphasis in economics.
